After gradution I felt all grown up and accomplished all the goals I set for the yearbook. Six months later, marriage failed realizing girls don't do all the supporting and a hard lesson was learned. Happily married to my husband for 47 years I have two daughters and 4 grandchildren. A senior cosmotologist (beautician) I worked 26 years in a family based salon in Upper Marlboro. I left the salon and for the next 5 years did a business for shut in's where people would send me to do there loved ones in times of sickness and for those clients who physicially couldn't come. In 1992 I opened a salon off the back of my home with a playgound for children and many gardens and windows to overlook the grounds in Davidsonville. The wildlife entertains the clients. Being a sole proprietor I have had many rewarding work days and have now cut my week to 3 full days. With hairdressing in the family line I can offer this peaceful work enviroment to a neice and sister keeping the interest to what's offered in the world of style available. I attented DuVal in my junior and senior year missing the opportunity to know many who grew up during their elementry and middle school years. As I looked over the site those I knew either didn't respond or have passed away making this very sad for me. I love the work done by those who have made this site available. It is a wonderful way to keep in touch. Thank to all who made it possible. |

It has been a great ride since high school. Received my A.A. degree then was drafted into the Army ,served in Viet Nam, went back to school earned a B.S. and M.Ed. in education. Taught Physical Education and coached football in Florida and Maryland.Recently relocated to our condo on Blackmoor golf course in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Married to a DuvVal graduate who is a super woman, we have 4 kids between us, 5 grandchildren and soon to be great grandparents. Life has been a lot of fun and I hope everyone enjoys our Big Weekend. |
