Comment: I have been married to my Wife: Toni for 32 years. We have a son : Ryan and a daughter: Amanda. I met Toni, while I was in the Border Patrol at a duty station on the Texas Southern Border. I have worked. mainly as a Special Agent for ICE, in Chicago, New Orleans and here in Austin, TX., where I retired in 2002.

I have done background investigations for the U.S. Government as a contractor after I retired from Civil Service. Before joining the Border Patrol, I had enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I served one tour in Vietnam and a few other Bases in the States. I still play music in bands and ride motorcycles in my spare time.

Comment: There was something very special about our classmates of '65! There was even a TV show - "The Class of 1965"! We excelled in academics and athletics. We had special teachers and coaches that made our high school experience more memorable, and also prepared us for life beyond high school.

"We kindle now the Light of Destiny" was our motto! And, we still kindle as our individual lights ... some a little brighter than others, and then there are the "Lights" that burnt out too soon, and we miss them so!

The only time I was any closer to any one group of people was with my Marines in 1967 - 68!

Our "Bond" has lasted for 50 years, and longer, as I transferred to DuVal the summer before our Jr. year. Our Class has often been imitated, but never duplicated! Well done!

Comment: Where to begin -  after high school I floundered around Jr. College plus worked various jobs then in May of ’66 I volunteered for the draft.  I survived the Infantry in Viet Nam ’67 . I was shot in the ass with brain damage -  (I was the radio carrier , RTO).  The Army taught me a great lesson, “I found out what I did NOT want to do.” - Be in the Army!  Upon returning to “normal” life I met and fell in love with Sharon,  got married and started a career as a Carpenter.  I worked the trade for 36 years. We have a terrific son, Patrick, and now he has given us two wonderful grandsons.  I retired from Carpentry and then  became an Architectural Estimator.  I wound up as the chief estimator-project manager for a government contractor doing Security Upgrades of overseas US Embassy’s.  Traveled through Europe, and into Africa.  I’m now retired again; trying my hardest to become a “Trout Bum”.   Sharon believes I’m doing a really good job of it.  I look forward to seeing the class of 1965.
